Up and Up – Rock climbing is starting to gain more traction here in Singapore and multiple climbing gyms are opening to offer services to interested and enthusiastic climbers.

You don’t have to go far to get to rock climbing gyms. Amongst other activities like abseiling, Safra Adventure Sports Centre at Yishun is home to Singapore’s tallest rock walls. Standing intimidatingly side by side are three sport walls – vertically spanning 15m, 18m and 25m. However, do note, the outdoor walls are available only to climbers with certification.

For amateur climbers who want to try something milder, take a step inside. Safe from the heat and the rain, the Safra Adventure Sports Centre also has an indoor climbing gym called the Indoor Bouldering Gym. It goes up two stories and is a good way to practice if you are a new climber.

Run down to scale these beasts with your friends – a lot of fun and a good workout is nearly guaranteed!
